Notes for Tenants Vacating

CLEANING:

  • Windows should be cleaned inside and out
  • Skirtings and woodwork should be washed down
  • The inside kitchen cupboards and drawers should be cleaned including removal of any food items
  • The cutlery, crockery, glassware etc should be cleaned
  • The fridge, freezer, oven, grill pan and microwave should all be cleaned and freezer defrosted where applicable (refer to your leasing agreement)
  • Light shades and light fittings should be dusted
  • All carpets should be vacuumed (including behind/under furniture) and floors/vinyl cleaned where applicable and if required carpets should be professionally cleaned
  • The bathroom should be cleaned including sink, toilet, shower screen, shower curtain tiles and shower tray where applicable


REPLACEMENTS:

  • All light bulbs should be replaced where necessary
  • Replace any damaged or broken items with similar items


GENERAL:

  • Contact utility companies to finalise your accounts
  • Advise BruceRae of suppliers used (give account numbers if possible)
  • All keys must be returned to BruceRae otherwise locks will be changed and charged to your deposit
  • Furnishings should be in the rooms in which they are noted on the inventory
  • Remove all personal belongings
  • Notify BruceRae in writing of where and to whom the refund cheques are to be made payable and the address they should be sent
  • If you wish for mail to be forwarded to you from the property, please ensure you set up a redirection service with Royal Mail
